UNDERSTAND THE HOW
We convert to Celsius first, then to the selected scale.
°F = °C × 9/5 + 32; K = °C + 273.15Temperatures below absolute zero are rejected.
0 °C = 32 °F = 273.15 K.

Convert 20 °C to Fahrenheit by multiplying by 9/5 and adding 32: 20 × 1.8 + 32 = 68 °F. Add 273.15 for kelvin: 293.15 K. Negative Celsius temperatures can be valid; temperatures below 0 K are not valid in this conversion.
A temperature difference uses a different rule: a rise of 10 °C is a rise of 18 °F, without adding 32. Check whether your input is a temperature or a change in temperature.
