How it is calculated

Distance × consumption per 100 km ÷ 100 × price. US and imperial MPG use different gallons. Electric vehicles use kWh/100 km and a price per kWh. Currency changes formatting only, not amounts.

cost = distance_km × consumption_per_100_km / 100 × unit_price
Assumptions and limitations

Energy only: excludes tolls, maintenance and additional charging losses. Use measured consumption if available. Both vehicles use the same distance and currency; purchase prices are not compared.
